Become the parent you wish you had.

Connected, calm and aware parents lead to confident, resilient and happy children, who feel loved for who they are.

Embrace imperfection, let go of perfect and witness a reawakening of child and self.

And together, this has the power to transform the world.

Many parents go through a period where parenting feels particularly overwhelming. You feel the tension between wanting your child to feel loved and have full autonomy over who they are vs raising a respectful child and the reality of being able to get through what you need to in a day.

Your child may be having large emotions, pushing back, or behaving in ways that feel concerning. You've tried ways of engaging that have been, at best, ineffective, and, at worst, damaging to the relationship.

You and your co-parent may be on different pages when it comes to parenting and this creates daily stress.

Maybe you’re the parent that is thinking about socialising, food, friendships, signing notes and activities and your partner steps in for a short time and you’re exhausted carrying the weight of the mental load.

External stressors, such as a demanding job, may be adding to a feeling of exhaustion, frustration, and you find yourself living on autopilot and sometimes hear your parents words come out of your mouth. You can feel the gears of the family unit grinding, and you’re just not enjoying it.

“Can’t I just enjoy parenting my child?” we wonder, “Without feeling like I have nothing left in the tank at the end of it?”

We all want to feel seen, heard and understood, and know how much easier it is to bring our best self to a situation where we feel individually respected and accommodated by the person making decisions.

Children are no different.

When the child feels seen, heard and understood, they will be able to respond to you in a more productive way.

Developing parenting skills that enable parents to adapt to their children as individuals is the key to calm, mutually empowering and connected relationships within the family.

From there, we find the leverage points that are unique to you and your family, which will help you optimise your energy, unlock your child’s authentic potential AND find peace in being the parent your child needs you to be.

I’m a mindset coach and help parents become the best version of themselves so their children can become their own best version through my Stressed Parent to Best Parent Method

The GIFT of a parent is to love our child.

The SKILL of a parent is to lead our child to like and love themselves.

FROM STRESSED PARENT TO BEST PARENT

From Stressed Parent to Best Parent is an 8-module program that enables parents to understand and effectively utilise their unique parenting style, so that they can understand and effectively engage with their unique child. When parents can do this, both the parent and the child’s needs are accommodated, and this brings out the best in everyone.

On signing up, parents are given a link to complete a comprehensive and scientifically backed assessment that measures your motivations across 48 different pillars.

Stressed to Best Parent can then be undertaken in a group:

Each week for 8 weeks, participants:

  1. Are given access to a new video module and workbook, which they are expected to watch and work through before the live session;

  2. Attend a 1 hour live Q&A session over Zoom, where we walk through your specific questions about the application of that modules learning to your family; and

  3. Have access to a Facebook Community with the other parents in the program, where you can share questions to be answered in the live Q&A, celebrate your wins (and mourn your losses!), and support each other along the journey.

what we cover

  • 1. GETTING CLEAR ON WHAT YOU WANT

    Change starts with self-awareness, so before the program officially kicks off, all Stressed to Best participants take a very comprehensive and scientifically backed test that measures where you sit across 48 different motivations.

    In Getting Clear on What You Want we:

    • debrief on the results of that motivation assessment, and what this tells us about how you are showing up in the parenting relationship; and

    • take the time to translate any goals that you may have for your family into specific behavioural outcomes that you can measure at the start and end of the program.

  • 2. OPTIMISING YOUR ENERGY

    Often parenting feels hard because we are just so tired or so busy.

    In Optimise Your Energy you will learn:

    • what is causing you to feel too busy or too tired for your child;

    • how to recognise what’s happening in your mind, and how to transcend all of the chatter so that you can be truly intentional in each moment; and

    • a specific strategy to help you respond, rather than react, to the needs that your child is expressing.

    You will find yourself yelling less, and enjoying the precious moments rather than wishing you were somewhere else.

  • 3. RESETTING YOUR BELIEFS

    Everything you believe about yourself, parenting and ‘how life works’ causes you to show up in the way that you do.

    In Resetting Your Beliefs you will learn:

    • what healthy beliefs around your leadership as a parent look like;

    • what beliefs are helping you, and what beliefs are draining your energy and hindering the way that you want to parent; and

    • a process for challenging beliefs that no longer serve you, so that you are no longer weighed down by them.

  • 4. SYNCING TOGETHER

    Are you and your partner the parenting dream team, or is there some work to be done?

    In Syncing Together you will learn:

    • how to make explicit the responsibilities of parenting, so that they can be more effectively shared; and

    • how to share responsibilities in a way that is healthy and energising for everyone.

  • 5. CREATING A FAMILY GAME PLAN

    The best visions are the ones that are shared by all who they involve!

    In Creating a Family Game Plan you will :

    • identify what truly matters to your family; and

    • create a joint statement of family values, so you can use that as a shared decision making tool to make daily decision-making easier.

  • 6. COMMUNICATE SO THEY CAN HEAR YOU

    In Communicate So They Can Hear You, you will learn:

    • the Considered Communication Strategy© that works in the toughest of situations;

    • how to communicate to build your child’s solid sense of self; and

    • what love language each member of the family has.

  • 7. RAISING YOUR UNIQUE CHILD

    In Raising Your Unique Child we will do a deep dive on your child’s unique motivations, and work through strategies for most effectively engaging them as an individual, including discovering their unique learning styles.

    When you truly understand who your child is, and adapt your approach to that, you will build their right to be who they are in the world.

  • 8. CELEBRATION

    Recognising your wins is a skill that many of us haven’t mastered yet, but it is essential to embedding sustainable change.

    In Celebration we will reflect back over the past 8 weeks of life in your family, review your goals from the start of the program, and celebrate how far you have come.

  • Dina, from the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for imparting your wisdom on me and for making my life a happier space. I am so grateful that our paths have crossed and I am so happy to have finally found some practical and sensible solutions to my parenting / life issues. As I mentioned in our first meeting, I have been searching for a long, long time for tangible solutions to the issues I faced daily and your program has achieved that & more.

    JM, Entrepreneur, first time parent

  • I recently had coaching with Dina Cooper. I let go of unconscious baggage, which was interfering with my ability to be fully present with my children, especially my daughter.

    Since the coaching my daughter has been coming in for cuddles in bed sometimes now, and even asking for tummy tickles and more physical affection! Huge, huge change. And she and I have also had wonderful hours of quality time together.

    Dina has incredible skills as a parenting coach. If you feel like you would like to be more of your best self with your children, reach out to her, I cannot recommend her work highly enough.

    Kylie Ryan, Entrepreneur, kids aged 3 & 5

  • Before working with Dina I felt overwhelmed and over-scheduled. I had big personal goals that I wanted to achieve and had become really hard on myself for not being there yet. I wanted to enjoy more quality time with my family, move towards my goals and experience more spontaneity and fun. Following my coaching program, I feel confident, strong and the mum I want to be. I’m working towards my dreams and ambitions. I’m able to lead myself in times of stress and have a stronger bond and connection with my family as a result.

    Kelly Brown, Entrepreneur

  • Dina is an amazing coach! I have experienced her coaching program and found it beneficial for myself and my family. I highly recommend Dina. She is warm, fun and one of the most caring humans I have the privilege of knowing. ‍

    Sue Anderson, Director, Unshakeable Leaders

  • As a single parent, I now have better flexibility to go to the gym, take my daughter to swimming as well as drop her off at school every morning. We now relate better and take afternoon walks together. She has her own personality and I do my best to encourage her with curiosity, whilst cheering to build her confidence. I am still continually investing in myself - learning, growing and acquiring new skills personally and professionally.

    Tabitha Motau, Architecture Lead, Accenture

  • Dina is really insightful, brought up topics and ideas that made me stop and think. She blends well everyday experiences with psychology theory that gives a good balance and is helping me approach my thinking differently in parenting and other areas of my life.

    Anna, Marketing Director, kids ages 8, 5 and 1
